This year we have tried to make things more simple.
When you pack up for the summer, you don't always know where you're moving to. So we have split the booking process in to two sections, COLLECT and DELIVER. This means that if you like, you can pay in two instalments. Pay for collection now, and then book and pay for delivery later.
Picking your dates has been made more simple too - it's like booking a flight, or train ticket. Different days are different prices, so keep an eye out for the bargain days!
How to book ..
When you want to book, click on COLLECT MY STUFF. Here you can tell us where you would like your packing kit sent to, the collection address and the date that you want us to collect your stuff.
If you like to be super organised, and want to continue and book your delivery date in too, that's fine. Just follow instructions to book in your delivery date and address at the same time.
Our full student package starts from £298, that is from £149 for collection, and from £149 for delivery. You will find that it is a bit like booking a plane or train ticket, some days are cheaper than others, so keep an eye out for those bargain days.
The collection and redelivery dates CAN be changed after booking, just email us directly or change online.

By booking your box collection with Unimove, you are committing booking your box re-delivery using the same process. Collection and re-delivery are one package even though you may be paying for them at separate times.
How many items are included in the price?
The standard price is for up to 14 boxes, totalling a maximum of 1 cubic metre. The free packing kit we send is exactly equal to 1 cubic metre if you use all the boxes. This quantity is suitable for 95% of all undergraduate students, living in student accommodation.
UNIMOVE All inclusive 14 box package
Unimove do not charge by the box, in the price you get 14 boxes included, posted to you in advance at no extra charge. If you only have a few boxes to store then it might be that our package sadly isn't for you.
How many boxes will you send me?
You will receive 14 heavy duty boxes and tape, of varying sizes. You do not have to use all of the boxes, just return any that you do not use, to the driver at collection time. The boxes are strong enough to protect your possessions. They are also strong enough to be used every summer for three years, if you keep them flat, clean and dry during term time.

Can I pack using my own boxes?
Yes. However, we strongly recommend that you use the free boxes that we send to you. Everything you will need is in one pack, including tape and a marker pen. Our boxes are heavy duty and are made of 100% recycled material. It is very important not to use, cheap, poor quality, weak cardboard boxes (like the ones you’ll find at the supermarket) as they can often squash when stacked. Our boxes are so durable, that after you’ve finished with them, just remove the tape, flat pack them again and store them away for future moves. Re-use, Reduce, Recycle!
Can I use suitcases?
Yes, of course.
You can use your own suitcase, no problem. Just remember to keep it under 20kg in weight. On average, 8 x standard suitcases equals 1 cubic metre. We do not insist that you use suitcase boxes either - way too much faff!
Is there a weight limit on boxes/suitcases?
Yes, boxes and suitcases should weigh no more than 20kg. This means they can comfortably be lifted by one person, for Health and Safety reasons.
Can I store and move furniture, bikes and other bulky items?
Yes, no problem.
We store and move all kinds of furniture, musical instruments, including pianos! bikes, ‘white goods’ and televisions. Please indicate at the time of booking if you have any of these large bulky items and we can quote accordingly.
There is an additional charge of £20 for a bike or furniture item, that will not fit into a standard box.
Please be responsible when sending a TV into storage - these need to be packed in a way that you feel they are going to be safe. If you have the original box, that is even better.
If you have a couple of extra boxes over the 14 allowed, or the 1 cubic metre allowed, then there is an excess baggage charge of £20 per extra item / box.
If you have a lot more, you should choose the extra packing kit option.
TRANSPORT & STORAGE FAQ’S
Where are my belongings stored?
Your belongings are stored in one of our clean, dry, safe and secure storage facilities located in a growing number of locations throughout the UK.
How do you transport by belongings?
The best bit about our service, is that you deal directly with us. We do not use courier companies, our Unimove team are experienced drivers and removers and know exactly how to handle your possessions carefully. All of our vehicles are clean, modern and reliable.
Does the cost change depending on how long you store my belongings?
You can store for up to 16 weeks no problem. For additional weeks, the cost is £10 per week. You can pay for any extra storage before redelivery.
What about insurance? It’s included. Your belongings are insured at all times, whilst in our care.
We include free insurance up to £1,000.
Better to be safe than sorry. Unimove are very very careful with your possessions, but it is essential to insure your goods correctly.
If you want to add cover, it will cost an extra £5 GBP per £1,000 GBP value.

Packing Kit Delivery You can request a packing kit delivery any day Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays. It is delivered by courier 0830-1730hrs. Latest booking for next day delivery is 1300hrs.
What days do you collect and deliver my belongings?
You can book a collection or delivery for any day MONDAY to SATURDAY.
Are you able to give me a time for collection / delivery? Yes, we are able to be quite specific with times. So long as you have access to email or a mobile phone we will either send you a live tracker link via email, or text you when we are en route.
Can I specify what time I want my belongings collected / delivered?
You can request AM or PM collections / deliveries, and we will do our very best to accommodate, and if it is not possible, we will let you know in advance.
If you have a plane to catch, we recommend you book the box collection at least the day before to avoid unnecessary stress.
Do you collect / deliver from any address? Yes. Of course.
We will pick up from any mainland UK address. There may be additional charges for remote locations, Highlands and Islands, but we will alert you of these in advance.
Collection is from the car park, pavement, reception or main door of your accommodation. If you would like us to collect from your room, there is an extra £25 GBP ‘Room service’ charge that can be paid at the time of booking.
